Corporate Donations and Home Sponsorships
Many local businesses have sponsored a Habitat home in our community and they are changing the lives of families throughout our community.
Not only can a business sponsor a home, they can sponsor a home for a specific family in our community and receive special tax credits through the Community Contribution Tax Credit Program (CCTCP)! The CCTCP provides a financial incentive (50% tax credit or sales tax refund) to encourage Florida businesses to make donations toward community development and housing projects for low-income persons. The tax credit is easy for a business to receive. Businesses in Highlands County that sponsor a Habitat home may receive a tax credit equal to 50 percent of the value of the donation. Businesses may take the credit on Florida corporate income tax, insurance premium tax or as a refund against sales tax (for businesses registered to collect and remit sales taxes with the Department of Revenue).
Habitat for Humanity Highlands County is incorporated as a tax-exempt, non-profit organization 501(c)(3) with the Federal Tax Identification #59-3023727. All donations are tax-deductible.
